Medical histories of great artists are interesting in two respects: First, they point to the individual capabilities to cope with suffering creatively. Second, they provide an insight into the medicine of the time. The MHH-Art Forum and the patient put their common university lecture series with an evening of the composer George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) continued. Handel, who is still regarded as one of the most creative and influential musicians, suffered at the age of 42 years from a stroke.
